说到 rabbit hole“兔子洞”，就必须要提到《爱丽丝梦游仙境》（Alice in Wonderland）。爱丽丝跳进兔子洞中，开始了一场无法预知的惊奇的冒险。

但 rabbit hole 的引申的含义可并不这么浪漫。

它指的是：a complicated or difficult situation, especially one that is difficult to get out of，也就是“无法脱身；深陷…...之中无法自拔”的意思。

例句：I know when I read a WWI novel I inevitably end up down a rabbit holeresearching the war.

rabbit on

rabbit on是一种英式口语说法，意思是to continue talking about something that is not interesting to the person you are talking to，也就是“没完没了地说；唠叨；喋喋不休”的意思。

例句：He's alwaysrabbiting onabout his stamp collection.

他总是喋喋不休地谈论他收藏的邮票。

breed like rabbits

兔子的生殖能力非常厉害，毕竟人家辣么萌，得多生点儿才能保证在大自然中生存下去。所以，breed like rabbits这个词就是调侃太能造人了。

在这里，headlights指的是汽车的前灯。

兔子生性胆小，晚上开车时打开前车灯，如果路中间突然跑来一只兔子，那这只兔子一定会被吓得瑟瑟发抖，以至于忘了跑走。
